A Little About Me

Hello, my name is Savannah Thornton. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2022 with a degree in both Entertainment and Media Studies and English. My favorite books include The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen, and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. Some of my favorite movies are Interstellar, Dead Poets Society, and naturally the greatest movie of my generation, Easy A.

My hobbies include reading, buying seven dollar lattes, and of course, writing. Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a child. Stories have always comforted me, whether told through the pages of a book or on a movie screen. My favorite characters understood me when no one else did, and they have inspired me to tell my own stories. I have written, directed, and produced several short films. I also spend much of my free time writing poetry and short stories. I continue to hone my craft with each of these different writing styles.

Since 2021, I have worked in the industry as a location’s production assistant, teaching me the skills to navigate a set of a feature film production and working in a fast-paced environment.
